Bruxism

Bruxism is the excessive grinding or clenching of teeth. This grinding and clenching can lead to damage to the oral cavity.

People often engage in this behavior without realizing it. In fact,

it frequently happens at night when you sleep or are stressed.

Because people engage in the behavior without being aware of it, treatment is often delayed. If you have noticed jaw pain or increased soreness, if your teeth appear worn or are more sensitive, you may be dealing with bruxism. The most effective forms of treatment are a combination of splints or night guards along with Botox injections.
